Avisail Garcia returns to Kevin Pillar Jersey White Sox lineup

OAKLAND — After five days out of the lineup, Avisail Garcia was back in the White Sox lineup Tuesday afternoon, going 1-for-4 and playing right field in a 7-6 loss to the A’s at the Coliseum.

“Happy, happy to be back,” Garcia said.Personalized Seahawks Jersey

As he was icing his knee after the game, Garcia said, “I can do anything that I need to do in the field, but I need to get ice and need to get treatment every day Kevin Pillar Jersey until I get way better. I’m OK.”

In the bottom of the first, Garcia got involved right away as A’s leadoff hitter Matt Joyce hit a routine fly ball to right, which Garcia caught with ease. He said
Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 11 Kevin Pillar Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey he laughed about getting tested right away, adding, “Baseball is like that sometimes.”

Then, leading off the top of the second, Garcia swung at the first pitch A’s starter Daniel Gossett threw and roped a single to center. His presence back in the lineup was a welcome sight for manager Rick Renteria.

“It was nice to see him back out there. [It’s nice] anytime you lose one of your big guys and you finally get him back Kevin Pillar Jersey For Sale out Custom Rams Jersey there,” Renteria said. “To see him back out there was good. We’ll see how he recovers, we’ll monitor that and see how he’s doing tomorrow.”

The lone White Sox player named to the 2017 All-Star Game presented Custom Seahawks Jersey by Mastercard, Garcia had been out since June 29 with left knee soreness. While Garcia stressed the importance of being careful with his knee on Monday, Renteria was encouraged by his progress before the White Sox 7-2 win over the A’s.

“We need to make sure we check off all the boxes and make sure he’s good to go,” Renteria said. “He took some fly balls and some work out in the outfield yesterday, and he also ran the bases with spikes on, which is what we wanted to see him do.”

Garcia earned the American League All-Star spot by hitting .317 with 11 homers and 51 RBIs, nearly matching his full-season totals in homers and RBIs from the last two years. First baseman and fellow middle-of-the-order hitter Jose Abreu says he’s seen Garcia be stronger mentally this season.

“The mental part is very important, especially in this game,” Abreu said. “If you are strong enough, you’re going to have success. It’s a very tough sport. He has been that way this year, and we as a White Sox organization and as teammates love that because we all know what he is capable of. This year, he has finally shown that.”

• Infielder Tyler Saladino (back spasms) went 1-for-3 as the designated hitter for

Michael Kopech excited for Future Game Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 11 Kevin Pillar Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey

CHICAGO — Although Michael Kopech has yet to throw a pitch above the Double-A level, the right-hander with the 100-mph fastball already has surpassed Chris
Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 11 Kevin Pillar Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey Sale in one particular honor.

Kopech, whom MLBPipeline.com ranks as the No. 11 prospect overall and No. 2 in the White Sox system, will take part in the SiriusXM Futures Game today at 3 p.m. CT at Marlins Park in Miami, which can be viewed live on MLB Network and MLB.com. Second baseman Yoan Moncada, the No. 1 prospect overall per MLBPipeline, and catcher Zack Collins (No. 68 overall, No. 7 White Sox) also represent the White Sox in the contest.

Sale actually reached the Majors two months after he was drafted by the White Sox in 2010 and never looked back, so he had no chance to participate in this special game. But for the short term, as the White Sox rebuild around high-end Kevin Pillar Jersey prospects such as Kopech, he will be loosely tied to the American League’s top starting pitcher as part of the same impactful five-player
Men’s Nike Custom Made St. Louis Rams Elite Navy Blue Team Color Jersey for Sale trade with Boston from this past December.

“It’s hard not to keep up with him of late considering he’s striking out everyone he faces,” Kopech told MLB.com about Sale during a recent phone interview. “That’s pretty cool, because my goal last year was to be in the position he is now with the Red Sox.

“My Custom Rams Jersey goal this year is to be in the position he used to be with the White Sox. It’s a guy that’s fun for me to watch because I can imagine
Youth Nike Seattle Seahawks NFL Elite Away White Custom Jersey Cheap myself in his shoes.”

Through 16 Personalize Rams Jersey starts and 78 1/3 innings with Double-A Birmingham, the 21-year-old Kopech has fanned 101 and given up 56 hits. He also has walked 53 with an ERA of 4.02, including 21 earned runs allowed over his last 25 1/3 innings.

But this 2017 campaign for Kopech centers more upon becoming a well-rounded pitcher, a lesson the uber-talented Sale learned at the big league level. It’s about not throwing so many fastballs in hitter’s counts for Kopech or not Kevin Pillar Jersey For Sale throwing so many fastballs with runners in scoring position. It’s about mixing Personalized Seahawks Jersey in the changeup when necessary.

“With the fastball that I have, I don’t always need a changeup. But there are times where I get carried away,” Kopech said. “I’ve got to the point where I’m forcing myself to throw it now. It’s making me a more glorified pitcher and a complete pitcher.”

“He’s at a level now where the pitchability factor is going to become more important,” White Sox director of player development Chris Getz said. “But still going into the year, our plan was more, ‘OK, let’s get the innings under the belt,’ and obviously the natural development of his understanding how important it is to pitch with the weapons he has versus more [throwing] was, we felt, the natural part of being exposed to Double-A.”

Getz took part in the Futures game as a player, as did current White Sox such as Yolmer Sanchez and Matt Davidson. Now it’s Kopech’s chance to represent the White Sox in his first All-Star environment.

“I’m excited about the way the year is going so far, but I’m not satisfied, if that makes sense,” Kopech said. “I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity I’ve had, but every day is an opportunity to get better and that’s what I’m trying to do.”

Franklin Barreto HR gives A’s Kevin Pillar Jersey walk-off vs. Sox

OAKLAND — Rookie Franklin Barreto took teammate Yonder Alonso’s advice to heart, making good on an early-inning conversation with a walk-off home run that propelled the A’s to a 7-6 victory over the White Sox at the Coliseum on Tuesday afternoon, snapping their six-game losing streak.Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 11 Kevin Pillar Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey.

Barreto’s day, which also included an RBI triple, began with a strikeout, after which Alonso took him aside in the dugout and told him he was a tad tardy with his swing. By the time Barreto stepped to the plate in the ninth inning — after the White Sox had tied the game against Santiago Casilla on a Melky Cabrera single — he had made the adjustment, connecting on the eighth pitch he saw from right-hander Tommy Kahnle and sending it just beyond the left-field wall.

Full Game Coverage

“I made really good contact, and I felt it,” Barreto said, through team interpreter Juan Dorado. “Luckily, it did go over the fence. It’s always been a dream of mine to help the team win, and I finally got to realize that today.”

“If you watch that at-bat unfold, he got more and more confident as it went along,” A’s manager Bob Melvin said. “Typically, that’ll happen when you’re seeing some pitches, fouling some balls off. For younger players, sometimes the big leagues can make you think twice, then you get into a position like that and
Women’s Toronto Blue Jays Kevin Pillar Majestic Scarlet Fashion Canada Day Red Flex Base Authentic Jersey hit a home run like he did, I know he’s going to feel a lot more confident and comfortable tomorrow.”

It was the second career home run for Barreto, who also homered in his big league debut in Chicago last weekend, and the fourth home run of the day for the A’s, who got two from newly named first-time All-Star Alonso in the thrilling victory.

It marked the third career multi-homer game — all of them coming this season — for Alonso, whose home run total reached 19 following Tuesday’s go-ahead shots in consecutive at-bats against White Sox right-hander James Shields. Matt Joyce also homered for Oakland, a two-run, game-tying blast in the third in response to Cabrera’s two-run homer in the opening half of the inning.

Following a two-run fourth highlighted by Alonso’s first homer, Chicago temporarily regained the lead against Oakland starter Daniel Gossett in the fifth on a three-run blast off the bat of Jose Abreu. But Alonso put the A’s right back on top, 6-5, with a two-out, two-run knock in the bottom half of the frame, sending Shields out of the game right after White Sox manager Rick Renteria had come out to talk to him.

“He just said I got the next guy. I told him I was good to go, and it’s on me,” Shields said. “I left the ball up to Alonso. I need to do a better job out there of getting out. The fact that he had the faith in me, I need to do my job, bottom

• Avisail plays nine in return to lineup

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Rookies chip in: The A’s have essentially lived and died by the long ball this year, and six of their seven runs tallied Tuesday came courtesy of home runs. But in a one-run game, Barreto’s two-out RBI triple in the fourth inning proved to be a difference-maker. The add-on run was set up by fellow rookie Jaycob Brugman’s walk. Both youngsters have fared well against Shields, who yielded first career homers to both players last weekend in Chicago.

“We were talking a little bit in the beginning of the game after his first at-bat, trying to give him a few pointers,” Alonso said of Barreto. “He’s special. He took it all in, made the adjustment, and then you saw what he did.”

Sigh of relief: Ryan Madson’s doings in the seventh inning were paramount to Oakland’s victory. The Kevin Pillar Jersey veteran reliever inherited a baserunner with no outs as the White Sox turned their lineup over, and he squashed the threat with ease. After Omar Narvaez advanced to third on Adam Engel’s sacrifice bunt, Madson turned his attention to the two men who homered earlier in the day, striking out Cabrera and knocking down a comebacker from Abreu for the third out to maintain the one-run lead. Lefty Sean Doolittle pitched a scoreless eighth, ahead of Kevin Pillar Jersey For Sale Casilla’s ninth-inning adventures.

“There’s no room for error when these guys come in in those situations Personalized Seahawks Jersey,” Melvin said. “Right away, Madson has to come in with somebody on base. The bullpen pitched well today.”

QUOTABLE Custom Seahawks Jersey
“Tip your cap to the kid over there because he battled him and put a really good at-bat together. Ended up getting a pitch he could handle that he ended up driving pretty well and it got out. Tip your cap because that’s just baseball.” — Renteria, on Barreto

WHAT’S NEXT
White Sox: For the White Sox, right-hander Mike Pelfrey will start Wednesday’s 2:35 p.m. CT series finale before the team travels to Denver. Pelfrey (3-6, 4.13) is coming off of a rough outing against the Rangers June 30, when he allowed five runs in five innings.

A’s: The A’s will send right-hander Sonny Gray to the mound for Wednesday’s 12:35 p.m. PT series finale matchup with the White Sox. Gray has a 1.20 ERA over his last two starts.

Evan Skoug not frustrated by late Draft pick

CHICAGO — Take a look at MLBPipeline.com’s list of the Top 200 Prospects heading into the 2017 MLB Draft, and Evan Skoug’s name pops up at 48.

So being selected in the seventh round by the White Sox, at No. 207 overall, could serve as a source of consternation for the left-handed hitting catcher from TCU, or provide the ultimate chip on his shoulder.

Full Game Coverage

Instead Skoug was nothing but positive when speaking recently to Kevin Pillar Jersey For Sale after signing with the team and receiving an over-slot $300,000 bonus.

• Complete 2017 MLB Draft coverage

“I’ve been trying to look [at the] glass-half-full side. At some point, you Kevin Pillar Jersey need to let it go anyways,” Skoug said. “It doesn’t matter where you start. It’s where you finish.

“So yeah, it wasn’t Custom Seahawks Jersey what I expected, but I’m going to do my best to get up quickly and show the 206 picks before me that I was the real deal. At the end of the day, I’m just thankful for the opportunity that one of the teams took a chance on me and just really thankful for the White Sox giving me the opportunity.

“I’ll do my best to work my butt off,” Skoug said. “I want to make sure I represent the White Sox at a world-class level, to make sure this is a pick they are going to really enjoy for hopefully a long time.”

As a player at Libertyville High School, situated 45 minutes north of Guaranteed Rate Field, Skoug only had collegiate interest from TCU, Santa Clara, the Air Force and Vanderbilt before the Commodores pulled out. That situation worked out well for the 2017 co-Big 12 Player of the Year.

Skoug’s home runs jumped from 16 combined in his first two seasons with TCU to 20 as a junior, while driving in 71. Skoug also went from 97 strikeouts combined in those same two years (against 62 walks) to 98 in ’17, which might have affected his Draft status.

“Early in the year, if you cut that part out of my season, my numbers are completely different at the end,” Skoug said. “I was getting away from the basics and putting myself in a position where I physically couldn’t make contact with the baseball. My track record says I don’t do that very often.”

Here’s a little more insight into Skoug: The 5-foot-11, 200-pound catcher’s baseball allegiance fell with neither the Cubs nor the White Sox. He was born in Kalamazoo, Mich., and was a Yankees fan because of hometown sensation Derek Jeter.

“He was my idol. He was my guy,” said Skoug Personalize Rams Jersey, who has spent 10 years in Libertyville, Ill., with his family. “As I moved over here, it was more of just rooting for players, not really specific teams.”

Allegiances have changed for the career .286 hitter with an .869 OPS as part of the Horned Frogs. A position switch eventually could be possible for Skoug, who is ready to do whatever it takes to get the Majors. But he has the confidence to stay at catcher, now and in the future, and the White Sox feel the same way.

“It’s part of a dream come true,” said Skoug, who thanked his parents, older brother and older sister for helping Custom Rams Jersey him get to this level. “The real dream come true is making the big leagues.”

“People texted me before we got here saying how crowded it was. Me trying to get here two hours before. It’s usually not that busy. Modeling a fashion similar to his quick mound work, Buehrle took the podium at about 12:55 p.m. CT, and his speech lasted a little under a tidy five minutes. Buehrle played 12 seasons with the White Sox, compiling a record of 161-119, a 3.83 ERA and was a 16-game winner for the 2005 team that won the franchise’s first World Series since 1917. He started Game 2 of that World Series and saved Game 3.

The White Sox commissioned a piece of 56 artwork, created by one-time slugger Ron Kittle. They also presented Buehrle a four-wheeler for fishing and hunting, a truck with 27 Up, 27 Down on the back in honor of his perfect game thrown on July 23, 2009, against the Rays and a return of the baseball used by Buehrle on his miraculous between-the-legs flip on a play at first base against the Indians on Opening Day 2010.

“As I look around this stadium it’s amazing how much Josh Donaldson Jersey these people love you and how many people came out to see you on this great day,” said Reinsdorf, who had high praise for Buehrle, aside from joking his quick mound work killed the concessions. “In case you weren’t aware of it, we don’t draw 40,000 every day.”

In Buehrle’s speech, he thanked his wife, Jamie, his children, Braden and Brooklyn, and his parents, John and Pat. He thanked all his friends and family members in attendance, former teammates who were there and the organization from Reinsdorf to coaches to everyone else in the ballpark who helped him and his family. He also praised the fans, who responded with rousing cheers as they have pretty much every step of Buehrle’s career.

There were emotional moments Kevin Pillar Womens Jersey for the usually even-keel Buehrle. Nothing topped seeing the actual unveiling between Thomas and Fisk.

“Emotions and trying to breathe deep and don’t start crying, tearing up,” Buehrle said. “I was trying to hold my emotions together. But just looking up there and seeing that. I can’t put it into words.

“Again, it doesn’t make sense. Josh Donaldson Jersey For Sale It’s going to take time. I don’t know if it’s ever going to sink in and realize there it is.”

Three rookies lead Josh Donaldson Jersey For Sale Oakland past White Sox

CHICAGO — Matt Olson, Jaycob Brugman and Franklin Barreto each slugged their first career big league homers Saturday as the Oakland Athletics took a 10-2 win over the Chicago White Sox in front of a sellout crowd on the day of Mark Buehrle’s jersey retirement at Guaranteed Rate Field.Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 20 Josh Donaldson Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey Cheap.

Olson, Brugman and Barreto Kevin Pillar Jersey each went deep off White Sox starter James Shields, who was making his second start since coming off the disabled list with a strained right lat. Olson, the second batter of the game, took the first pitch he saw in the first inning a Statcast-projected 423 feet to right field for the first of his two homers Josh Donaldson Womens Jersey on the day. Brugman knocked a shot just over the wall in right in the second inning and Barreto launched a two-run blast to center in the third. Barreto’s homer was also his first career hit, with Saturday being his Major League debut.

“A peek to the future is now, right? I guess that’s a record, those three home runs,” A’s manager Bob Melvin said. “It’s amazing. These guys have fed off each other all through the system, they know each other really well and have won together. The more the merrier at this point.”

Fans played rock, paper, scissors for foul ball

It marked the second time ever three teammates had launched their first Major League home runs in the same game, according to Elias Sports. It was last accomplished in professional baseball history by the Kansas City Packers of the Federal League in 1914 when Art Kruger, John Potts and Duke Kenworthy accomplished the feat. The Federal League played as a third major league during the 1914 and ’15 season.Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 11 Kevin Pillar Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey.

Saturday was also the first time all season Shields had given up multiple homers in a start after allowing a Major League-worst 40 home runs last season. Shields went three-plus innings, allowing six runs on seven hits while walking three on 85 pitches. It marked the first time in five starts he didn’t go at least five innings, putting a damper on the game in which he recorded his 2,000th career strikeout.

Oakland right-hander Daniel Gossett benefitted from the early offense to cruise to his first career win, tossing six innings and allowing just a pair of unearned runs on 93 pitches. His defense didn’t help him, as the Athletics extended their Kevin Pillar Womens Jersey Major League lead with three errors — two of which directly led to runs. Despite the lack of defensive support, the Oakland offense did more than enough to boost the rookie.

“The whole ordeal is a special experience for everyone,” Gossett said. “To get out of there with my first win was just the icing on the cake. It was an awesome experience to be a part of.”

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Just a bit outside: Shields was in trouble from the get-go, in part because of how he lost the first batter he faced. The right-hander had leadoff man Matt Joyce on a 2-2 count, but proceeded to spike a breaking ball in the dirt and miss just outside to walk Joyce. His very next pitch, an 85.5-mph cutter, was driven out of the ballpark by Olson to open up the scoring in what would be a 29-pitch first inning for Shields.

You gone: Athletics shortstop Adam Rosales led off the top of the seventh inning with a chopper to third base, which was fielded by Todd Frazier before he threw it to Jose Abreu at first base. The umpires initially ruled Rosales safe at first and gave Frazier an error, saying Abreu was off the bag. The White Sox challenged the ruling, but it was upheld. After the challenge, Frazier got into a heated discussion with third-base umpire Jim Wolf and was promptly ejected. Manager Rick Renteria was then ejected for the second consecutive game and third consecutive home game for arguing with Wolf, and at one point threw his hat on the ground in protest. It was Frazier’s first career ejection, and Renteria’s 10th. Renteria now has four ejections this season, tying him with Marlins skipper Don Mattingly among managers Josh Donaldson Jersey For Sale for the Major League lead.

Rosales safe at first OAK@CWS: Rosales called safe at firstAdam Rosales is originally called safe on the call at first and the White Sox challenge, but the call stands after the review

“It’s frustrating,” Frazier said. “You can’t get the call right in New York, too, as well. They’ve got every different angle. They can zoom in. They can zoom in as close as possible and to think that they cannot make that call it’s just frustrating with the technology we have today. It’s just crazy. It boggles your mind. It really does. You know. I’m the one. I’m vocal. I’m emotional.”

Renteria said he grew frustrated and said Frazier — like Tim Anderson, who got tossed Friday — was too mild-mannered of a guy to have such a short leash with umpires and said he was “pissed” to lose a key member of his lineup.

“Frazier’s never been tossed,” Renteria said. “Timmy Anderson is the most mild-mannered person you’ve ever met in your life. Yet he’s a competitor. So when you see these guys express themselves in a certain way, consider who they are, what they’re about.”Women’s Toronto Blue Jays Josh Donaldson Majestic White Flex Base 40th Anniversary Patch Jersey.

AFTER FURTHER REVIEW
Shortly after Frazier’s error was upheld, another White Sox error was added to the board through a replay review. Athletics third baseman Ryon Healy hit a grounder to short, which Anderson bobbled before throwing to Abreu at first. The Athletics challenged the initial ruling that Healy was out and the call was overturned following a minute-long review. Anderson was charged with an error.

WHAT’S NEXT
A’s: Right-hander Sonny Gray, who is winless with a 6.43 ERA over his last five starts, will look to turn things around against the White Sox in Sunday’s 11:10 a.m. PT series finale at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Adam Engel of White Kevin Pillar Youth Jersey Sox hits 1st career homer

CHICAGO — The White Sox jersey No. 41 worn by Adam Engel for his Major League debut on May 27 against the Tigers was presented to his dad recently Josh Donaldson Jersey For Sale as a Father’s Day gift.

And the baseball Engel connected on for his first career home run during a 5-3 loss to the A’s on Sunday afternoon at Guaranteed Rate Field also will have a

Full Game Coverage

“Give it to my parents more than likely,” said the 25-year-old Engel, after Oakland completed the three-game sweep of his team and dropped Kevin Pillar Youth Jersey the White Sox to 32-42 overall. “I try to give them all my memorable jerseys or bats or balls or whatever the case may be. They do whatever they want with it.”

Based on Engel’s early Major League results, the No. 17 White Sox prospect per MLBPipeline.com might have more significant memorabilia to come. Engel has expertly handled center field, which was the trait the organization expected from him when he was promoted.

Sunday’s 1-for-3 showing left the right-handed hitter’s average at .308 and his OBP at .341 over 14 games. Engel, who also has four stolen bases to leave him one off Tim Anderson’s team lead, has fine-tuned his offensive approach since arriving with the White Sox.

That change includes dropping his hands a little lower at the plate.

“You get to watch a lot of video and kind of see what guys are trying to do to certain players,” Engel said. “You always have to kind of keep in the back of your mind that you are somebody different than what you might be watching on video.

“So, you just try to put that all together and make sure you are prepared before each game. As far as Kevin Pillar Jersey mechanics go, I messed with my hands a little bit here and there height wise. Just try to get them to a closer place to where I swing from. But at the same time it’s pretty similar I would say.”

Sonny Gray yielded Engel’s home run with two outs in the third, the same Sonny Gray who has been the topic of numerous trade rumors with the non-waiver Trade Deadline fast approaching. Engel connected on a 2-1, two-seam fastball, with an exit velocity of 100.2 mph, a launch angle of 33 degrees and a hit probability of 48 percent Kevin Pillar Womens Jersey for the 382-foot drive to left per Statcast™.

As he reached the dugout, White Sox manager Rick Renteria high-fived Engel, but the rest of his teammates gave him an initial silent treatment. The celebration began shortly thereafter, with Engel getting the ball back from the bullpen, who retrieved it from a young fan who ended up with the home run.

To enhance the day, Engel had friends and family in town and at the game.

“It was a pretty cool feeling,” Engel said. “The guys ahead of me worked some deep counts and did some work early for me. I got a fastball up in the zone — I was ahead in the count. I was able to see it, kind of looking for it and put a good swing on it.”
