David Robertson returns from paternity Custom Patriots Jersey list

DENVER — David Robertson might know a little bit more about trade rumors including his name if the White Sox closer had a higher success rate when using Internet search engines.

“I try to look for a few Personalized Packers Jersey articles, but I’m the worst Internet searcher there is,” said Robertson with a laugh. “I feel like I can’t ever find anything, and who knows what to trust when there is so many different venues out there.

“But obviously, like I said before, the team is going to make the decision Custom Dolphins Jersey. That’s up to upper management if they are going to move me. If they don’t move me, that’s great. I’ll stay here. I love it in Chicago. If they do, it’s their decision and I’ll have to move on with my life to a new team.”

Robertson rejoined the White Sox at Coors Field after missing the Oakland series while on Major League Baseball’s paternity list. Violet Grace was born Monday, joining big brother Luke along with David and his wife, Erin.

Erin was four or five days overdue, and Robertson admitted to being nervous Custom Packers Jersey at times with the impending birth of Violet and the trade possibility from the rebuilding White Sox.

“I’m definitely more at ease now that we’ve had our baby, now that we’ve had Violet. No matter what happens, we’ll be fine,” Robertson said. “We have her and we are going to settle in.

“If something happens, I’m assuming it’s going to happen later on in the month, so at least we’ve had the baby. We are comfortable and set. After a certain amount of time, she will be able to travel if I do get moved to another team. If not, we stay here and it’s great and fine for me.”

With 12 saves, a 3.00 ERA and 44 strikeouts and 10 walks over 30 innings pitched, the veteran right-hander stands as the top closer available. He’s earning $12 million this season and is under contract for $13 million in 2018.

Rehab updates

Miguel Gonzalez allowed three runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings during an injury rehab start for Triple-A Charlotte at Durham Thursday night. He struck out one and threw 47 of his 72 pitches for strikes. Gonzalez has been on the 10-day disabled list since Custom Patriots Jersey June 18 (retroactive to June 15) with A/C joint inflammation in his right shoulder.

Tyler Saladino (back spasms) is 5-for-12 with one home run and three RBIs over four injury rehab games for Charlotte.

Tigers’ Matt Hall on hot Josh Donaldson Jersey For Sale stretch for Lakeland

Matt Hall threw seven scoreless frames to lead Class A Advanced Lakeland to a Josh Donaldson Jersey For Sale 4-1 win over Daytona on Saturday, but that should hardly come as a surprise to those following his recent success.

The Tigers’ No. 17 prospect has now pitched 43 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run, a streak that has spanned seven appearances (six starts) and began on May 28.Men’s Nike Custom Made Jacksonville Jaguars Elite Team Color Teal Green NFL Jersey.

Hall threw 52 of his 88 pitches for strikes on Saturday and limited the Tortugas offense to just two hits. The lefty also struck out five and didn’t issue a walk for the second time in his past three starts.

Over the course of his streak, Hall has seen his ERA dip from 5.36 to 2.65 and has boosted his record to 7-3 as he’s won each of his past four decisions. Hall’s last loss came on May 28, the beginning of his streak, as he was charged with four unearned runs in 5 1/3 innings.

Other top prospect performances from Saturday’s action:

No. 28 overall prospect Lucas Giolito (White Sox No. 4) led Triple-A Charlotte to a 1-0 win with his second shutout of the season. After getting rocked for seven runs in 3 2/3 innings in his last start, Giolitio was nearly unhittable against Louisville. The 22-year-old gave up just two hits and struck out 10 in the seven-inning complete game.

“Having the one-run lead helped tonight,” Giolito told MiLB.com. “I felt like I really needed to execute through every at-bat. I couldn’t take a pitch off or let my focus go. I made sure I got ahead as much as possible, which we did a pretty good job of tonight, other than a few batters. It’s always more intense with a slim lead like that and it ended up being a really good start.”Women’s Toronto Blue Jays Josh Donaldson Majestic White Flex Base 40th Anniversary Patch Jersey.

•&nbsp Josh Donaldson Jersey;Giants No. 5 prospect Chris Shaw went a combined Personalized Vikings Jersey in Triple-A Sacramento’s doubleheader sweep over Tacoma. The 23-year-old got off to a fast start in the first game as he went 3-for-4 with a homer and two runs scored before going 1-for-3 in the nightcap.

• Phillies No. 19 prospect Jhailyn Ortiz put together his third straight multi-hit game for Class A Short Season Williamsport. Ortiz doubled in each of his first two at-bats as he finished the game 2-for-4 with a season-high three RBIs. Ortiz has been in a nice rhythm at the plate over the past three games, going a combined 5-for-11 (.455).

• Dodgers No. 21 prospect Edwin Rios hit 15 homers in 77 games with Double-A Tulsa this season and now has one homer in three contests with Triple-A Oklahoma City after going deep in the first game of a doubleheader. Rios finished the game 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Braves No. 23 prospect Alex Jackson homered for the first time since May 8 as part of a 2-for-5, three-RBI performance for Class A Advanced Florida. Braves No. 24 prospect Bryse Wilson spun his first career shutout for Class A Rome. Wilson, who was pitching past the seventh for the first time, struck out seven without issuing a walk and gave up just five hits in Rome’s 2-0 win.

• Phillies No. 24 prospect JoJo Romero spun a gem for Class A Advanced Clearwater, giving up just one hit and striking out nine in six scoreless innings. Romero posted a 2.11 ERA through 13 starts at the Class A level before he was promoted to Clearwater, where he has continued to excel. The lefty has made two starts with the Threshers and has yet to give up a run while notching 19 strikeouts in 12 1/3 innings.

“That’s our job,” Romero told MiLB.com. “Our job is to make the hitters feel as uncomfortable as possible with your tempo, mixing speeds, changing locations. So it’s kind of a thrill for me when you see a hitter up there guessing or taking pitches Personalized Jaguars Jersey because they don’t know what’s coming.”

Giants No. 26 prospect Dylan Davis hit his sixth homer and matched his career high with five RBIs in Double-A Richmond’s win over Bowie. Davis hit a two-run homer in the second, a two-run single in the third and added a sacrifice fly in the fourth. The 23-year-old singled again in the seventh and was retired in the ninth, finishing 3-for-4.

White Sox No. 27 prospect Jacob May hit in both halves of Triple-A Charlotte’s doubleheader sweep, but he made the biggest impact in Game 1 as he collected a season-high four hits with an RBI and a walk. In Game 2, May went 1-for-4, bringing his average to .267 through 61 games.

• Astros No. 29 prospect Jorge Alcala put up nothing but zeroes for the second time in his past three starts with Class A Advanced Buies Creek. The 21-year-old threw 57 of his 95 pitches for strikes, striking out five and giving up just three hits in the outing.

Rays No. 30 prospect Ryan Boldt put together his second four-hit game of the season as Class A Advanced Charlotte topped Florida, 12-7. Boldt, who went 4-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs, got off to a fast start as he had RBI hits in the first, second and third innings. The 22-year-old also singled in the fifth but wasn’t able to keep his perfect day alive as he grounded out in the seventh.

White Sox prospect Yoan Personalized Jaguars Jersey Moncada nearing callup

DENVER — Yoan Moncada’s seven-game hitting streak for Triple-A Charlotte came to an end Thursday night with an 0-for-4 showing Custom Vikings Jersey at Durham.

That level of consistency, followed by two hits from Moncada on Friday, stands as a good sign for the No. 1 prospect in baseball, per MLBPipeline.com, after posting a .236 average in June on the heels of missing May 16-25 with a left thumb bruise. “What I love about him is he’s such a good teammate. He mixes in well with the guys,” White Sox director of player development Chris Getz said. “But the thing that has stood out the most is his defensive development.

“From Day 1 to now, he’s been hungry to improve his game defensively, and he has. He’s becoming a solid defender there. He has a strong arm, he’s turning the double play well. Moncada will take part in his second straight SiriusXM Futures Game today at 3 p.m. CT at Marlins Park in Miami, which can be viewed live on MLB Network and MLB.com, following up his Most Valuable Player effort in the ’16 event. The switch-hitter’s next big step seems to be with the White Sox, maybe even in July, with Moncada consistently having shown his full array of ability, despite the recent offensive struggles.

“That layoff affected him a little bit,” Getz said. “Obviously Josh Donaldson Jersey the thumb needed to heal, and then on top of that the reps, but once he got back out there and started playing, he was back to being kind of who he is.

“He’s doing very, very well, actually,” White Sox manager Rick Renteria said before Saturday’s game. “Might even be available to me tonight to pinch-hit if I need to, but he’s continuing to get treatment right now and we expect him to be back.”

White Sox beat Rockies on Personalized Vikings Jersey Tim Anderson homer

DENVER — Tim Anderson spoiled the Rockies’ hopes for a comeback, as the 24-year-old shortstop crushed a go-ahead solo home run in the ninth to give the White Sox a 5-4 win over the Rockies at Coors Field on Saturday night. Anderson’s homer was the second-longest of his career at 444 feet; he hit his Personalized Vikings Jersey longest in Friday’s opener.

Greg Holland, the Rockies’ All-Star closer who leads MLB with 28 saves, came in to a 4-4 game shortly after Gerardo Custom Jaguars Jersey Parra hit a sacrifice fly in the eighth to cap off the Rockies’ rally. Anderson led off the frame by taking Holland deep, going to nearly the same spot he went to in center on Friday night — a homer that went a Statcast-projected 451 feet — to give the White Sox the lead again before David Robertson closed it out for his 13th save.

Jose Quintana, who’s received the 10th-lowest average run support in the American League at 4.17, wasn’t his dominant self of seasons past, but was able to keep the Rockies in check, giving up three runs in 5 1/3 innings.
Men’s Nike Custom Made Jacksonville Jaguars Elite Team Color Teal Green NFL Jersey.

Chicago scored three runs in the first inning off of Rockies starter Jeff Hoffman. Colorado has only won two games this season after trailing by three or more runs.

“Jeff hung in there. Wasn’t at his best, but I really liked the fact that he hung in there and went seven innings without really having his best stuff and maybe his best command,” Rockies manager Bud Black said. “I told him after the game I thought his last 30 pitches were his best out of the 90-plus.”

Rey of sunshine: Things had been looking bleak for the Rockies in the late innings, as they couldn’t seem to figure out Quintana or the White Sox bullpen. But Mark Reynolds led off the eighth with a triple that rolled away from right fielder Alen Hanson. It was Reynolds’ first triple in exactly two years, with his last three-bagger coming July 8, 2015, as a Cardinal. Additionally, Reynolds’ average sprint speed per Statcast™ is 25.9 feet per second (the average MLB sprint speed is 27 feet per second). Defensive star Personalized Jaguars Jersey in the making: Adam Engel’s play in center field has been impressive for the White Sox since he made his Major League debut on May 27. He showed off his speed and range with Chicago up, 4-2, in the fifth inning, taking away extra bases from Tony Wolters by traveling 85 feet in 4.7 seconds for a four-star catch, according to Statcast™. The ball was his second four-star catch of the night, with his running catch on DJ LeMahieu’s liner in the first inning having a catch probability of 49 percent; the Wolters ball had a 36 percent catch probability. Since he made his debut, Engel is the only White Sox outfielder with a catch that was awarded a three-star rating or higher by Statcast™. He now has three.

“I don’t think about that right now. I’m focusing on doing my job. The first half has ended for me now and I’m focused on the second half. Try to do a better job and recover my body. I know that the trades are around me but that’s part of the game. I don’t have control in that. I just have control on throwing the ball well.” — Quintana, on the possibility that this was his last start with Chicago

The White Sox feasted on extra-base hits early on, as Jose Abreu, Yolmer Sanchez and Willy Garcia combined to knock three triples in the first four innings of the game. It marked the first time Chicago recorded at least three triples in a game since recording five at home against Cleveland on Aug. 16, 2011.

Quintana became the first White Sox pitcher to record 10 or more strikeouts and pick up an RBI since Bart Johnson on Sept. 17, 1971.

“Really excited,” Quintana said of his fourth-inning sacrifice fly that made it 4-2. “My first RBI. I try to get contact first. It was really good. The guy throws hard. It was good, it was fun.” More >

The Rockies knocked Quintana out in the sixth following an RBI double by Parra and had a chance Josh Donaldson Jersey For Sale for more against Anthony Swarzak. The White Sox reliever has been adept at holding inherited runners, and proved capable again. Swarzak struck out Trevor Story with two fastballs on the black and, after Raimel Tapia was intentionally walked to load the bases, Swarzak induced a weak groundout from Wolters to end the inning. Swarzak has not allowed an earned run since June 18 and has stranded 19-of-26 inherited runners this season.

“Last year, I remember throwing [Story] some good sliders and him taking me to right field on them,” Swarzak said of striking out Story. “I knew I wasn’t going to let him get to me again, so in that at-bat I wanted to just stay hard on him. I executed down and away, kind of locked him up.”

“That was a tough one. Would’ve been nice late in the game,” Black said. “We got to Quintana, they made a pitching change, we sorta had the momentum back on our side. That’s a tough one.”

With one out in the bottom of the ninth, Charlie Blackmon struck out looking and erupted in anger. Plate umpire Sam Holbrook rung Blackmon up on a slider on the outside part of the plate, and Blackmon immediately objected. Holbrook ejected him after a few words, and Blackmon spiked his helmet and bat on the ground. Black came out to defend his player and was ejected as well.

Paxton was sharp against Oakland on July 7, striking out nine while allowing two runs on two hits over seven innings.

“We saw a different James Paxton in the last two innings,” Seattle manager Scott Servais said after Paxton’s last outing. “He just went and turned up the dial, and that’s what top of the rotation starting pitching does. We hadn’t seen that out of him the last few starts.”

This will be Paxton’s third career start against the White Sox, and first in 2017. Three things to know about the game

• Entering Sunday’s first-half finale, the White Sox rotation was last in the American League in quality starts, with its total of 29 also being the third-worst in the Majors.

• Entering Sunday, Chicago Custom Vikings Jersey first baseman Jose Abreu was hitting .433 with the tying or winning run on base, the fourth-best mark in the Majors. The White Sox as a whole were the fourth-best team in baseball in such situations, hitting .287.

• Mariners slugger Nelson Cruz entered Sunday tied for first in the Majors with 68 RBIs this season. DENVER — The same question applies to every Jose Quintana start for the White Sox between now and at least Aug. 1.

And that question would be: Is this Quintana’s last trip to the mound for the South Siders? There’s a good chance the answer won’t change, because neither Quintana nor anyone else in the clubhouse has control of the upcoming decisions made by the rebuilding organization.Women’s Toronto Blue Jays Josh Donaldson Majestic White Flex Base 40th Anniversary Patch Jersey.

“I don’t think about that right now. I’m focusing on doing my job,” said Quintana after throwing 66 of his 103 pitches for strikes. “The first half has ended for me now and I’m focused on the second half.

“Try to do a better job and recover my body. I know that the trades are around me, but that’s part of the game. I don’t have control in that. I just have control on throwing the ball well.”

With scouts from the Yankees, Cardinals, Orioles, Royals, Angels and Blue Jays among the group in attendance, Quintana yielded three runs on five hits. Two of those runs came via Nolan Arenado’s first-inning home run, with Quintana retiring 14 of the next 16.

Quintana expertly used his curveball in a Coors Field environment that doesn’t often play well on offspeed Personalized Jaguars Jersey pitches. The southpaw recorded 10 swinging strikes on his curve and seven of his 10 strikeouts came off the curve as well.

An eighth-inning run for the Rockies tied the game and left Quintana with a Major League-leading 65th no-decision since 2012. But as has been the case since he arrived with the White Sox, Quintana was unfazed by the lack of

His greater focus came on a fourth-inning sacrifice fly, marking the first RBI of his career.

Quintana’s sacrifice fly CWS@COL: Quintana drives in Willy with a sac flyJose Quintana skies a ball out to left-center field, allowing Willy Garcia to score from third to give the White Sox a 4-2 lead in the 4th

“Wow, yeah, The guy throws hard. It was good. It was fun,” said a smiling Quintana of his line drive Personalized Vikings Jersey to left field off of Rockies starter Jeff Hoffman that scored Willy Garcia. “I try to get contact first. It was really good, really excited.”

“He’s a great teammate,” said White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson of Quintana, after Anderson’s ninth-inning home run gave the White Sox a win. “Just overall, on and off the field, just a great person. He’s someone you definitely want to be around.”

Whether Quintana remains around Anderson for the next three weeks, let alone the rest of the season, stands as a great unknown. As general manager Rick Hahn has stated numerous times, Quintana would help any team in baseball including the White Sox, and it’s Quintana’s Custom Jaguars Jersey preference to continue helping the White Sox.

“Absolutely. I want to stay here,” said Quintana, who finished the first half with a 4-8 record and 4.49 ERA over a team-high 18 starts and 104 1/3 innings. “But they know what’s the best for us, so I just try to do my job and that’s it.”

“He’s been really, really good with dealing with what’s in his hands,” White Sox pitching coach Don Cooper said. “He’s an impressive kid to me because he just, nothing really stops him. He continues to work and focus and continues to stay ready.”

Don Cooper on White Sox starting Custom Vikings Jersey pitching

DENVER — The words “subpar” and “pitching” rarely have found their way together during Don Cooper’s highly successful 15-year-tenure as White Sox Personalized Vikings Jersey pitching coach.

This 2017 campaign has been the anomaly, struggles Cooper quite possibly envisioned with the team beginning a full-fledged rebuild. But he probably didn’t budget for the problems faced by the starting pitchers through the Josh Donaldson Jersey For Sale first half.

Full Game Coverage

Chicago’s rotation entered Sunday’s first-half finale in Colorado with the second-most losses in all of the Majors at 40 Custom Vikings Jersey, trailing only the Giants’ 43. Its 4.89 ERA over 86 starts placed them 26th, while the one-time quality-start machine entered Sunday having produced 10 over the past 44 games and sitting 28th in the Majors with 29.

There are some legitimate excuses for these issues. Carlos Rodon made start No. 3 of 2017 to close out the first half Sunday, missing most of the first three months due to biceps bursitis. James Shields and Miguel Gonzalez missed time on the disabled list, and replacements such as Mike Pelfrey and David Holmberg, who performed admirably, had to be built up on the fly to get deeper into games.

Cooper acknowledges those reasons but won’t hide from the struggles.

“Starting pitching is not close to being good enough, not close to what we are used to,” Cooper said. “Putting a lot of pressure on the bullpen to go a lot.

“We’ve had too many games where our starters are not giving us length, either through poor performance or unable to be Personalized Jaguars Jersey stretched out. It’s all part of the building process, and the building process can be trying. Some of the games we’ve had have been miserable. [Friday] night was a miserable game.”

Tommy Kahnle, Anthony Swarzak and closer David Robertson top a strong bullpen unit that entered Sunday ranked fifth in the AL in ERA (3.86), opponents’ average (.228) and WHIP (1.24). But as Cooper knows, a good staff begins with quality starting pitching.

“Everybody says you have to have a good bullpen. Well this is a perfect example why they are wrong,” Cooper said. “You have to have a good bullpen, a couple of guys out there. I always thought a starting staff, a good one, leaves little or nothing to the bullpen.

“But again, some of it is poor performance for sure. Some of it is injuries and some is we are stretching guys out at the Major League level with Holmberg, who was pitching one inning an outing or two in relief and now we have to get him up to five. That’s not easy.Custom Jaguars Jersey Pelfrey, who basically came from his house after one or two starts in Triple-A.

“It used to be a challenge to say we are up by a lot here or … down by a lot in the game, piece a game together,” Cooper said. “We are doing this a lot of times, and that’s due to what I said. The starting pitchers’ performances have not been nearly enough.”

DENVER — Rockies rookie Kyle Freeland established himself Sunday as king of the hill at Coors Field — his hometown ballpark.

Freeland held the White Sox hitless until Melky Cabrera’s single with one out in the ninth inning while lifting the Rockies to a much-needed 10-0 victory over the White Sox as the Rockies won the final series before the All-Star break.

Freeland, 24, who grew up in Denver, went to Thomas Jefferson High School and was the team’s top pick in the 2014 MLB Draft out of the University of Evansville. He struck out nine and dictated nine groundouts. Cabrera’s hit, a liner over the glove of leaping third baseman Nolan Arenado, came on his Custom Saints Jersey 126th and final pitch. He doffed his cap as a crowd of 36,541 roared.

“Around the fifth or sixth inning was when I realized I was really settling into my groove,” Freeland said. “I’m throwing well, my team’s playing well, we’ve got a lead. Just go out there, pitch to contact, get quick outs and get back in.”

The 8 1/3 hitless innings, before Jordan Lyles finished up, was the longest no-hit bid for a Rockies pitcher at Coors. The only Rockies pitcher to take a no-hitter longer was Ubaldo Jimenez, who completed his at Atlanta on April 17, 2010. The only pitcher to take a no-hit bid longer at Coors was the Dodgers’ Hideo Nomo, who finished his no-no on Sept. 17, 1996.

“He pitched inside extremely well, both in off the plate and for strikes,” said Rockies manager Bud Black, who watched Freeland put an 0-3, 7.27 ERA slump in his previous three starts behind him. “His slider/cutter was much better than Personalized Saints Jersey it’s been the last four starts. The fastball away had great action.”

The Rockies got home runs from Charlie Blackmon and Pat Valaika, who finished with a career-high five RBIs. They go into the All-Star break in the second National League Wild Card position. But Sunday’s Freeland-powered win was just their fifth in the last 18 games.

Cabrera, who connected on a fastball inside for the White Sox’s lone hit, said in Spanish, with teammate Omar Navarez interpreting Personalized Jets Jersey, “I wasn’t thinking about anything else — just to get a good pitch to hit.”

The biggest defensive play of the near-no-no came to lead off the eighth, when left fielder Gerardo Parra — who went 3-for-4 with two RBIs offensively — rushed forward and dived to snag Yolmer Sanchez’s line drive. Freeland finished the frame with a filthy 92-mph cutter to freeze Willy Garcia for a strikeout.

White Sox starter Carlos Rodon gave up six runs and five hits in 5 1/3 innings. Blackmon’s homer was just the third Rodon had yielded to a left-handed hitter in his career. The others were to the Red Sox’s David Ortiz and the Mariners’ Robinson Cano.

Seventh heaven: Freeland worked around his first jam in the seventh Custom Saints Jersey after sitting through the Rockies’ 26-minute, 5-run sixth inning. The rookie walked Jose Abreu and Todd Frazier to open the seventh inning. All-Star Avisail Garcia then grounded into a double play and Tim Anderson, Saturday night’s hero, flied out to end the inning. Ground balls are Freeland’s forte, as he entered Sunday with a 56.6 ground-ball percentage, good for fifth in the Majors.

“We weren’t really able to do anything, string anything together,” White Sox manager Rick Renteria said. “We had a couple of guys on through a walk or a hit by pitch. We had a few line drives, but other than that, really not a whole lot.”

Not getting caught in the squeeze: Freeland’s most stress Joe Carter Jersey came in the sixth. Thinking he had a strikeout on a 2-2 slider to inning leadoff man Narvaez, Freeland visibly reacted when plate ump Greg Gibson’s call didn’t go his way. Narvaez took a walk on the next pitch, moved to second on Rodon’s sacrifice bunt, and then to third on Adam Engel’s grounder. But Freeland escaped by forcing a Cabrera fly to center.

“I thought I had it, I think [catcher Ryan Hanigan] thought we had it, but you’re going to get those calls,” Freeland said. “You’re going to get balls you think are out of the zone, and it goes the other way sometimes. Take that, throw it away and move on.”

Freeland was born May 14, 1993, in a Denver hospital — 29 days after the inaugural game in Rockies history.

Rodon appeared to have settled in after allowing two runs in the second inning, but he got a rude awakening in the sixth as Blackmon, who will participate in Monday’s T-Mobile Home Run Derby (8 p.m. ET, ESPN), launched a fastball a Statcast-projected 477 feet into right-center field to make it 3-0 Rockies. It was Blackmon’s longest home run since Statcast™ was introduced in 2015, and the longest by a Rockies player this season. It was the third-longest by any Rockies player since the introduction of Statcast™, and was tied for the third-longest by a left-handed hitter off a left-handed pitcher since 2015.

“I went down and in, it was 1-0, and that’s his spot right there,” Rodon said. “He hit the ball 470 feet. He just got it. He’s a good hitter.”

“I threw a no-hitter against George Washington High School. We 10-runned them, so it was a five-inning no-hitter.” — Freeland, recalling his only previous no-hitter, while in high school

White Sox: The White Sox will send Garcia to his first career All-Star appearance before opening the second half of their season Friday against James Paxton and the Seattle Mariners at Guaranteed Rate Field. First pitch of the three-game series is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. CT.

Rockies: Four Rockies will travel to Miami for Tuesday’s All-Star Game presented by Mastercard — Arenado, Blackmon, DJ LeMahieu and Greg Holland. The Rockies open the second half in New York vs. the Mets on Friday at 5:10 p.m. MT. Jon Gray (2-0, 3.75 ERA) will make his third start since coming off the disabled list with a foot injury.

White Sox Kopech fans Moncada in Futures Game

MIAMI — Michael Kopech got his wish. A few hours before Sunday’s SiriusXM Futures Game began, the hard-throwing pitcher said he wanted to take on fellow White Sox prospect Yoan Moncada. It would be a chance to pit Kopech’s high-octane fastball against Moncada’s potent bat.

“If I strike him out,” Kopech said, “I’m going to talk to him about it after the game.”

They can now have that conversation.

The stars aligned in the third inning of the United States’ 7-6 victory over the World team at Marlins Park in the 19th Futures Game. Kopech breezed through the first two World hitters that he faced and was then tasked with taking on Moncada, who is not only Chicago’s No. 1 prospect, but the No. 1 prospect in baseball, per MLBPipeline.com.

Kopech and Moncada — acquired from the Red Sox in December as part of the blockbuster trade that sent Chris Sale to Boston — are key parts of the future core for the White Sox. With Chicago catching prospect Zack Collins (No. 7 on the team’s Top 30 prospects list) also on the U.S. roster, the White Sox were one of four teams to have three players in the annual showcase event.Women’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 29 Joe Carter Toronto Blue Jays Home White Baseball Jersey.

“That’s something that makes you feel proud,” Moncada said through an intepreter. “You have three guys here that are trying to do their best, not just for us, but also for the organization, just to represent the organization in a good way.”

In the third inning, Kopech represented the White Sox with a powerful display.Men’s Nike Custom Made New Orleans Saints Elite Black Team Color NFL Jersey Sale.

The 21-year-old righty started off with a slider, which tailed low and inside Custom Jets Jersey to Moncada, who danced out of the way of the dirt-bound pitch. From there, Kopech challenged the White Sox second baseman with only fastballs. The first one buzzed in at 99 mph, and Moncada swung through it for strike one. Next, Kopech fired a 100 mph fastball low and away — on the corner for a called second strike.

The knockout punch came courtesy of a 101-mph four-seamer, which was elevated away, but enticing enough to generate another swing and miss from Moncada. Kopech spun around on the mound, hiding his reaction from Moncada, who walked back to the first-base dugout.

“I never thought I’d be able to get a fastball by him,” Kopech said with a smile. “So, to be able to do that was exciting. … I’m going to go talk to him here in a minute and give him a little crap for it. We’ll see how it goes.”

Kopech’s strikeout pitch clocked in at 100.7 mph, specifically, according to Statcast™. For perspective, there have been only six Major League pitchers this season to record a swinging strikeout with a pitch of 100.7 mph or faster. That short list includes Aroldis Chapman, Edwin Diaz, Joe Kelly,

Felipe Rivero, Trevor Rosenthal and Enny Romero.

Moncada, 22, has hit .282 with 11 Joe Carter Throwback Jersey home runs, 16 steals, 23 extra-base hits, 33 RBIs, 54 runs and an .831 OPS in 73 games this season for Triple-A Charlotte. He missed some time in May with a left thumb injury, but said he is fully recovered from that issue. Moncada added that he is trying not to think too much about a potential promotion to Chicago.

“This is a process,”said Moncada, who went 0-for-2 in the Futures Game. “I’m Joe Carter Jersey just getting ready for when the team decides to make that call. I will be ready for that call. I feel ready.”

Through 16 starts for Double-A Birmingham this season, Kopech has piled up 101 strikeouts against 53 walks in 78 1/3 innings, posting a 4.02 ERA. The righty is Chicago’s No. 2 prospect, as well as the 11th-ranked prospect in all of baseball. Kopech said he was thrilled to be included in the Futures Personalized Saints Jersey Game, especially because it gives him a glimpse of his ultimate goal.

“We all get to kind of experience big league lifestyle for a day,” Kopech said. “That’s all we really want to experience out of this, is kind of get a taste of the big leagues. It kind of makes us a little more hungry for the real thing.”
